Vehicle acquisition portal
Sellers do not know their vehicle's trim or engine, and a form that asks them produces unusable leads. The fix is to ask for the one thing on their registration document and derive the rest.
The working parts
Each of these exists in the delivered system, not on a roadmap.
VIN decode
A VIN, mileage and postcode return the full specification from a vehicle data API, shown read-only so the seller confirms rather than types.
Licence plate decode
Plate plus state resolves to a VIN first, then to the same specification, for sellers who cannot find the VIN.
Manual fallback
When a lookup fails the seller is routed to manual entry instead of a dead end, and the lead is flagged so staff know the specification is unverified.
Condition questionnaire
Repairs and cost, outstanding finance and amount, damage history, whether they are replacing the vehicle, and a free-text description.
Multi-photo upload
Drag-and-drop photo upload stored against the lead, so an appraiser sees the car before calling.
Two lead queues
The staff portal splits decoded leads from manual ones, because the two need different handling on the call.
Per-lead notes and exports
A running note thread on each lead, photo gallery, and export of any grid to Excel or CSV.
